About Custom Nine Designs

Custom Nine Designs is the one and only company specializing in replacement hot air balloon envelopes for experienced balloon owners who have had enough of the endless climb of equipment prices. Our envelopes are STC approved for most balloon systems. Because we have obtained FAA approval for each, unlike an experimental envelope, you retain the commercial privileges of your system.

Most hot air balloon operators with a worn out envelope have been programmed to think in terms of a top half repair using the original manufacturer's overpriced fabric or a new envelope from the original manufacturer priced close to the complete system. Since 1990, we have been providing a third alternative - replacement envelopes or replacement panels at nearly half their original cost.
